1. Mandatory Requirements for Long-Stay Visas (Non-Immigrant "O-A" and "O-X")
Non-Immigrant "O-A" (1-year) and Non-Immigrant "O-X" (10-year) visa applicants must maintain comprehensive health insurance for the duration of their stay in Thailand, with the following minimum coverage amounts:

- Insurance Company: Policies must be issued by licensed insurance companies in Thailand. Policies that meet these conditions can be checked and purchased from the Thai General Insurance Association (TGIA) website or from leading insurance companies.
- Coverage Maintenance: Visa holders must maintain their policy coverage in force continuously for the duration of their permit to stay in Thailand.
2. Requirements for the Long-Term Stay Visa (LTR Visa - Wealthy Pensioner)
Although the overall requirements for the LTR visa are highly flexible, Wealthy Pensioner applicants must also provide evidence of their health status. The guidelines are as follows:
- Primary Requirements: Applicants must provide evidence of health insurance or medical coverage with coverage limits as determined by the Immigration Bureau (which is generally higher than the basic requirements for Non-O-A/O-X applicants).
- Optional: In some cases, LTR applicants may be able to provide evidence of high health insurance coverage or sufficient assets to cover medical expenses (USD 100,000 or THB 3,000,000 in some periods).
